Her fame made her popular for clients, but fame only made things worse. Then, on one fateful mission to kill a king, she finds herself on a journey of revelation, treachery and a darkness that began with the first seeds of life.
She will learn of truths about her family, and truths about herself. Truths that she will wish remained in the dark.
Kaida will begin a journey of growth.
As savior, or destroyer, of her world.

Thirteen-year-old Lynne watched her parents wrestle with the fact that their newborn baby Bruce, her new brother, had been born with Down syndrome. Over the years, Lynne struggled to ensure that Bruce would be included as part of the family and vowed to protect him from a young age, while also making sure that her nine-year-old brother, David, was not also left behind amidst the chaos. As time passed and Lynne went off to college, she learned that her baby brother was still not safe from being given away.
This is the story of Bruce, and the love he inspired in Lynne to fight for the unity of her family. Lynne, David, and Bruce maneuvered the trials of life together, thus cementing their unwavering commitment to each other as siblings. By turns funny and heartbreaking, Listen to Me is a story about being brave, finding your voice, and becoming not who you thought you were, but who you were meant to be all along.

Souljourner is a cult-classic in the making. It is by turns bizarre, bewildering, hilarious, infuriating and utterly engaging – strap yourself in and prepare to be swept up in this extraordinary karmic rollercoaster of a book.
Souljourner begins with a quote from Pierre Teilhard de Chardin:
“We are not human beings on a spiritual journey, we are spiritual beings on a human journey.” — and that sets the tone for everything that follows.
Souljourner’s opening sentence offers a surprising revelation: “This is a warning from your soul’s previous incarnation.”
And so begins a novel that starts out as a warning from one souljourner to another— from one soul’s incarnation to the next—and quickly evolves into a fanciful tale of murder, cosmic revenge, and the relentless drive of Karma as told by a 68-year-old convicted murderer serving a life sentence in a Massachusetts state prison.
A tale ostensibly narrated for the benefit of the reader himself (or herself), who is spoken to directly, as the next souljourner, or incarnation, in the narrator’s line. The entire purpose of the novel, or letter, is to warn the reader about a malevolent and threatening soul traveler. who is certain to have you, the reader, in his or her sights.
The story opens up in prison, where David Rockwood Worthington is serving a life sentence for the murder of his 3rd wife and, to state the obvious, his incarceration is not going smoothly.
David is being terrorized by rival gangs who insist he owes them each $6 million dollars – debts of which David claims to be entirely unaware. This perilous situation is complicated by the fact the Internal Revenue Service wants to talk to him about $18 million dollars he has stashed in secret Cayman Island accounts – accounts of which David also claims to be unaware.
On top of all that, his prison psychologist doesn’t seem to like him very much.
The central premise of this novel – if it is indeed a novel (again, the narrator insists it is a warning letter from your soul’s previous incarnation) – is that our souls make their eternal journey towards enlightenment in the company of a single unchanging ‘karmic pod’ of companion souls who take on different roles in each of our incarnations.
In one life a soul may appear as your mother, in the next your best friend, in another your sworn enemy, in yet one more your lover and so on for eternity. Which is why David can understandably believe there is a single spirit stalking his soul from incarnation to incarnation.
The identities of the souls in your ‘karmic pod’ are hidden from you in life – this letter/novel seeks to wise you up to who to watch for in your karmic pod to avoid making the same mistakes that landed our David in prison.
If you’ve ever wondered how the spiritual world, invisible to us in our daily lives, can impact, alter and influence our physical reality, Souljourner just may give you a peak at what lies beyond the curtain.

The story follows 9 passengers who survive an airplane crash, but their reactions, survival, and subsequent rescue are just the beginning of their trip to Hell and back. The ending leaves the reader wondering whether their adventure was real or not.

What if the line that separates an advertisement from the real world were suddenly erased and the person of your fantasies stepped from an ad and beckoned you to follow her back, inviting you to melt into her world. Could you resist? Bobby couldn’t, and his life is literally forced to stand still and contemplate his fate.

Join me on a 60-year adventure from medical school to re-retirement. There will be many funny stories and some sad ones that influenced my approach to treating patients, and I will give you a glimpse of the grueling life of a medical student, an intern, and an orthopedic resident in the 1960s plus my Navy career, how I established my private practice, and my contributions to orthopedic surgery. Also, I express my feelings about how medicine has changed from then to now and why.
I don’t think there is comparable work on the market, and your trip with me will be well worth the read.

Killing is an instinct we all have, some suppress it and some like me embrace this gift. We are all animals it’s just we so-called human beings are far more intelligent. To me, this means we can kill in ways no other animal can. Have you ever daydreamed about killing someone? Sure you have some of us who have it but most of us don’t. As for me, I don’t know what is pity or remorse I was born this way. I am the guy next door the one you would say no way he would never do something like that. In fact, I dream of ways to kill to me pain is love. I was born with the killer gene but I just kill for no reason. If you give me a reason you will unleash the mind of a maniac!

If you have ever sat at the knees of a family member or neighbor who regaled you with their wild stories and hard-earned lessons, you have probably learned a thing or two about how others’ stories can help prepare you for life. Through Boy to Successful Man, you will gain invaluable information from two authors who have seen it all.
For anyone who feels misunderstood, for anyone who feels angry, for anyone who feels lost-this book is for you. There is no shame in feeling trapped or confused by the expectations for you to grow from a boy into a man. This book is a tool to give young men great lives, no matter their circumstances.
In Boy to Successful Man, Rico Austin PhD and Dr. Suave Powers have collaborated to create a literal “pocket” book of advice for young men. Specifically, it caters to young men who may not have had the guidance of a father figure. Each chapter teaches basic lessons, often through short, anecdotal stories of Rico’s life. Many of the lessons are simplistic, but that is exactly the point. This is a book of the basics for anyone whose education is lacking. In today’s fast paced world, there are not many people who will go out of their way to ensure that the gaps in others’ educations have been filled. Rico Austin and Dr. Suave Powers do exactly that within the pages of Boy to Successful Man.
In addition, Rico Austin shares information about his upbringing, which many would call challenging. However, he does not write solely for individuals who have been raised in similar situations. His advice is ambiguous and versatile enough to apply to people from all different backgrounds. Whether one has grown up in a family with an absent father or with well-meaning parents who were simply too busy to instill life lessons into their children, Uncle Rico’s advice holds true.
The authors of this book boast a great deal of credibility. Both are highly educated with multiple degrees, and they often reference quotes by experts. These experts range from Ernest Hemingway, to Lil’ Wayne, to Eleanor Roosevelt, to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to Mahatma Gandhi. (The level of exposure that readers gain from the quotes themselves is noteworthy!) In the chapter about education, Rico Austin states that, “education, in its general sense, is a form of learning in which skills, knowledge, and habits of a group of people are handed down from one generation to the next.” That is precisely what the quotes shared in this book are intended to do-pass on a great deal of wisdom from previous generations. Overall, Rico Austin and Dr. Powers’ advice reads as a family member providing guidance to a beloved child. It is clear that each chapter in this book has been written from that same place of concern and care for our future generations.
