Whilst dealing with a chaotic home life, Emily is having to adjust to life at her new comprehensive school. Her new school is noisy and she feels lonely and isolated from friends she left behind at her old school. She becomes friends with young Aled, a boy who is sensitive and bullied. When Aled is found dead, Emily blames herself. Emily hopes her big brother will look after her, but Robbie has problems of his own. How will she cope?
